Body and Golf Swing Seminar
Why would Body Balance for Performance benefit you, the golf professional?
What will I learn at “The Body and the Golf Swing Seminar?”
How can this help my students? As a PGA Professional, you will learn how the body affects the golf swing. You will understand how the major balance, power, and movement systems work.
We examine the body’s influences on all phases of the golf swing. This course, The Body and the Golf Swing, is based on a book by the same name written by David Ostrow,PT,CEO of Body Balance for Performance and Philadelphia PGA Members, Dom DiJulia, Master Professional in Teaching, Jonathan Doctor, Head Golf Professional at Chester Valley Golf Club, and Joe Missimer, Head Golf Professional at Coatesville Country Club.
The course is designed to teach PGA professionals about the body’s influence on the golf swing. Topics include the physical requirements for address posture, backswing motions, downswing motions, impact positions, and follow through. You learn how swing issues are related to physical restrictions, balance, posture or weakness in the body and then be able to teach more effectively. This course includes lecture and lab work. The local Body Balance Staff visit with you personally to ensure you are using the material correctly and to certify you.
Upon successful completion of the course, The Body and the Golf Swing, and certification session, each PGA professional will be recognized as a Body Balance for Performance Certified Golf Professional. As a certified Body Balance for Performance Golf Professional, the professional is officially certified to assess the body and the golf swing of his or her students. Certification also includes the benefit of preferred referrals to the professional and the ability to use the Body Balance for Performance logo in all marketing efforts.
